Who we are

National Leisure Group was founded by Georgia Weekes and Danny Davies, bringing together more than 16 years of experience in the ice rink industry.

Between us, we’ve worked across management, operations, administration and rink construction, in both permanent and temporary ice rinks. We’ve seen the industry from pretty much every angle.

We started National Leisure Group because we genuinely love what a great ice rink can bring to a place. Our job is to take that experience and use it to create well-run, exciting ice rinks that people actually enjoy visiting.

Why are we here?

Quite simply, we love ice rinks.

There’s something special about seeing a rink full of people. Some are skating for the first time, some can barely stay on their feet, and others come back week after week. There’s music, laughter, families spending time together and people making memories without really thinking about it.

That’s what got us into this industry, and it’s still what we enjoy about it today.

We also know that no two locations are the same. You might look at your venue, town centre or event space and wonder how on earth an ice rink would fit or operate there.

That’s our problem to solve.

We’ll look at the space, work through the practicalities and find the best solution. And if we genuinely don’t think an ice rink is right for a location, we’ll say so.

Our approach

Because we’ve actually worked in rinks ourselves, we understand that installing the ice is only one part of making a rink successful.

We look at the whole operation — how the rink runs, how the available ice time is used, staffing, customer experience, sponsorship opportunities and additional revenue from things like merchandise and other extras.

Most importantly, we work with you, rather than simply delivering a rink and disappearing.

Our advice and support comes as standard throughout the year with our packages. It isn’t an optional extra and there isn’t an additional consultancy fee every time you need to pick up the phone and ask us something.

We want your rink to work just as much as you do.
