Get your skates on, Warrington… Christmas is coming to Golden Square!

This festive season, Old Market Square will be transformed with the arrival of a brand-new ice rink, open from Friday 27 November 2026 until Monday 4 January 2027 (Sunday 3rd is the last day to book).

Whether you’re planning a family day out, a festive date night, meeting up with friends or taking a break from the Christmas shopping, you can step onto the ice and make some brilliant Christmas memories right in the heart of Warrington.

The ice rink will be the headline attraction in Golden Square’s packed Christmas programme, with plenty more festive fun taking place throughout the season, such as a special visit from Father Christmas and choir performances throughout December.

So, grab your skates, gather your favourite people and see if you can stay upright long enough for the photo.
